For some of us it can be so confusing when we hook up with a guy, we have sex, he claims to be straight. For guys that are openly gay, this can be a little difficult to understand, especially if you are new on the scene. Below are a few reasons, some straight men, have sex with gay guys.

1. The Classic Closet Case

We all know this guy, right? Probably the most obvious answer, some guys are simply stuck in their closet. There is no great mystery when dealing with closet cases. Sadly, some are never able to come out and be openly gay, for an array of reasons. When getting involved with these guys, don’t pressure them to come out, don’t expect them to change their whole lifestyle for you. If you are able to keep your emotions at bay and can enjoy some sex with a guy in the closest, go for it, just keep in mind the underlying issue of fear within these men, and simply allow them to explore their sexual desires and above all else, be their friend and understand them.

2. Curiosity

Let’s face it, for most of us out there, before we confirmed in our own minds that you’re gay or bi, curiosity hit you first! Curious men that identify as straight could simply want to know what all the fuss is about. This may be a game-changer for some guys, but some guys are just comfortable enough in their straightness to know if they explore sexually with another man once, and realize they’re not super into it, they’re not gay or bi!

3. It’s just a fetish

Indulging in a same-sex encounter is sometimes considered taboo, or deviant for many people in the world. (mostly by those who are plain ignorant!) Because of this, having same-sex relationships can almost seem like a fetish to ‘straight’ men who like doing deviant things sexually in bed. It is an extreme fetish, no doubt, by the psychological reasons for ‘straight’ men sleeping with another man could be viewed as like the fetish of tying someone up and peeing on them. Both are viewed by the ‘straight’ guys as deviant by heteronormative society.

4. It feels good!

Having sex with a man feels damn good! Simple as that! We know what we’re doing. We’re active bottoms, and since we have a cock, we know our way around one. We know what does and doesn’t feel good and how to orally service another guy like an absolute pro!

5. Attention whores!

Gay men are natural flatters. Generally being more in tune with our sensitive side, we whisper sweet nothings and know exactly how to compliment a man. We openly say how attractive someone is, regardless of their orientation. Some straight men love these compliments and love having their ego stroked. They love the attention and that overwhelming feeling of simply being wanted or desired is enough for them to hook up, even if they’re are attracted to other men!

Whatever their reasons may be, these guys need/want to experiment! Sexuality is fluid, for some more than others. Sexuality changes and evolves as we mature. Because of this, there may be me at some points in their lives who are more sexually explorative with the same sex. However, they will still identify as straight!
